Telecommunications
Starting in the mid-1990s, Panama begun opening up and decentralizing
its telecommunications field, process that continues to this day.
The aforementioned process has ensured that telecommunication services
are provided by private agents, though under state control and supervision.
VV&GM has the necessary expertise and experience to advise
companies interested in providing telecommunication services in
Panama, including the obtainment of the necessary permits, ongoing
regulatory counsel, free market/anti-trust advise, drafting and
revising of interconnection agreements between service providers
and other agreements in the field.
