The legal framework for environmental matters in Panama establishes the obligation to submit environmental impact studies to the environmental regulator, open public participation proceedings, environmental planning, legal administrative law matters before the environmental regulator and the establishment of fines and sanctions by the environmental regulator in case of beaches of environmental law.
